READY TO USE: Our boards are pre-oiled and ready to use! Before first use, wash, rinse, and dry with a kitchen towel. We use a mixture of mineral oil and natural beeswax to coat. However, we recommend you apply Teakhaus oil or food grade mineral oil regularly at least two or three times a month to maintain your board in perfect condition!

After years of owning it, I can confidently say that it’s worth the money. I just resanded the top today and it looks amazing, even more so than when it was new! It doesn’t chip easily like bamboo boards nor does it raise grain when wet. Overall, if you want a large cutting board for an ok price, this ones it! I had to order it twice because the first came broken but they were cool about it and got me a replacement asap. Overall would rec it to anyone looking for a cheap/nice cutting board.
While it can show some cuts, once I sealed this cutting board with bees wax and food grade mineral oil, it looks and feels great. I am esp. happy that I can now cut over one side of the sink and dispose or push food to a bowl on the other. I use both sides, depending on my need. We added bumpers so the wood would drain and not soak up water (see photo).
Upgraded from my split bamboo board to this beauty -- no regrets! The grooves are excellent for minimizing mess. It's lovely and gentle on my knives. Photo UPDATE FROM 2025, 9 years later. The only cutting board that’s held up more than a year. Indestructible. Ordering a 2nd.

Purchased both the 8 by 8 and the 16 by 12 inch boards (shown via pic). Both are excellent values. Would certainly buy again. The wood in craftsmanship are top notch for the price, as is the delivery and packaging. Recommended buy.
Very nice. Love the different shades of wood. I picked this one after seeing reviews on YouTube from America's test kitchen. You can't even see any knife marks. I did season it first. Perfect size. Not too heavy. I keep it out on the counter and I like seeing it there. I have used it for 3 weeks now. Still no knife marks.
Love this cutting board. Look great and beautiful solid teak wood.
This is a very nice board. I am using Howard's butcher block conditioner on it to keep it looking nice. You can chop on both sides of the board. One side has a juice ring while the back is simply solid. The piece of teak that my board is made of is beautiful and looks similar to the photo. Each one is unique and will appearance will vary.
Generally a nice cutting board but it needed more sanding. Bummer that I had to sand it down with 220 and refinish it.
Great for cutting produce and gentle on my knives.
Looks great. To early to tell on how well it holds up under use, but it definitely adds eye candy to the kitchen.
Have had this board since 2013 and it's still going strong.I do remember having to sand and oil a lot of coats it just kept drinking up at least 4 coats then 2 coats of board wax.Have oiled whens acts thirsty,wax every now and then it has served me well Took some time but it was worth my time and effort. Works great easy to keep clean has never had a crack knife scar's are minimal after all these years,was level when received and still is.If needed with a little time and effort it will last for years I do remember getting it at a promotional price.Amazon keeps telling me I bought the large size and I had to go back and check.That is what made me realize just how long this great board has been in use..
Excellent cutting board, not too heavy and stands up well to continued use, also the grooves keep juices from migrating onto the counter. Definitely recommend.

TeakHaus was written up as having quality cutting boards. Prices from any company made me cringe. Still costly but much better price I got this board. It is a really good size , for the price, which I wasn’t expecting. I am replacing a lot of items in my kitchen due to health concerns using them. Going from plastic to wood is one change. It is a very attractive, quality looking product. I expect if taken care of it will last a very long time.
What a great cutting board, just as advertised
Very nice broad. It's my first time using a teak cutting board and it felt great! This is not too heavy but still durable to light cutting/slicing - I don't plan to chop big bones with this.Be aware that this needs to be oiled. It looked very dry when it arrived. It looked great after I brushed it with mineral oil and let it dry for a day.
The size and wood looks beautiful. The wood however seems rough after a few uses. It said it was ready for use, but I think it needed mineral oil and beeswax treatment before using. I was disappointed in need to prep before using.
Such a great cutting board. I had been wanting to purchase a teakhaus for a while now I love that this one has the juice edge in case I am cutting meat. I could also use the other side for a serving board but I have not tried that yet.
Well made & pretty. I hand wash it. I wipe mineral oil on it occasionally to care for it.
This is a nice cutting board. A good weight, good size. Easy to clean. Wood is better than plastic cutting boards. It keeps plastic microparticles out of my food and my knives stay sharper longer. 4 stars because it came with a minor crack on one side. We’ll see how long it takes to split through to the other side. I have only had it 2 months but it gets used and washed every day. So far so good.
I love this cutting board!! It’s beautiful. And after doing much research on wooden cutting boards, teakwood seems to be the sturdiest and most healthy (as long as there isn’t any toxic finishing on it). Supposedly, Teakhaus doesn’t use any toxic finishing and is a trusted brand for teakwood cutting boards. Will buy more when we have a bigger kitchen!Note: need a buy some cutting board oil for it to keep it from drying out after washing.
