Certificado

The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization working at the intersection of business, agriculture, and forests to make responsible business the new normal. They are building an alliance to protect forests, improve the livelihoods of farmers and forest communities, promote their human rights, and help them mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis.

When you see our little frog seal on a product, you're probably aware that it signifies something positive. But have you ever wanted to know more about what's behind the seal?

The seal means that the certified product or ingredient was produced using methods that support the three pillars of sustainability: social, economic, and environmental. Independent, third-party auditors—critical to the integrity of any certification program—evaluate farmers against requirements in all three areas before awarding or renewing certification.

The standards focus on the following themes:

  • Forest
  • Climate
  • Human Rights
  • Livelihoods

Forestry products: On forestry products, such as cutting boards and paper packaging, the seal means that the product is sourced from forests certified to the standard of the Forest Stewardship Council® FSC® of which the Rainforest Alliance is a founding member.

Choosing products with the little green frog seal is an easy way to help protect forests, conserve wildlife, and support communities around the world.
